  • [PM125] PD Test firmware Problems

    hello
Our company is SIAUTO. in south Korea.
I purchased two PASSMAKER PD Tester” PM125” in this year.
Recently, there was a request for a firmware update, so We updated the latest firmware with a link on the homepage.
After the update, the following problem occurred.
    1. PM125 recognizes the latest FIRMWARE version as 3.2, not 4.1.
    2. When USB Power Delivery test.exe is executed, the device name is displayed as PM110, not PM125.
    3. If we connect the PD sinker, the PDO list will not be loaded as before.

Both two purchased units are identical, and to solve the problem
Please tell me how to do it.

    PC OS : win10 64bit

    thank you

Note to other users: Currently being handled via email, will update when resolved.

Issue: It's possible Revision 1 (PM110) firmware was mistakenly flashed onto a Revision 2 (PM125) units. This will cause PM125 to appear as a revision 1 instead of 2. The Firmware Updater tool includes firmware for both PM110 and PM125 and prompts the user to select accordingly to decide which firmware to update to on the device.

[Update] - Units were flashed with Revision 1 firmware. Units were recovered by force flashing to a previous release Revision 2 firmware before re-flashing again to the latest Revision 2 firmware.
