USB 3 Loopback Tester

I have one of your USB 3.0 Loopback Testers that I purchased back in 2013, Model: PMUSB03 (rev 1). It has been updated to the newest firmware, 2.6. You said in another message that as of May 2020 your USB 3 Loopback Tester/Plug supports USB 3.2 Gen 1. Since my USB 3 loopback tester is older than 2020, does this been it needs to be updated or I need to upgrade to the newer model?

The naming of USB speed is a total mess. I won't try to explain it, as it would take pages and makes no sense.

But, USB 3.2 Gen 1 is 5Gbit/s (which is the same as 3.0)

There has been no speed upgrade to the USB3 loopback plugs since their initial release and such an upgrade isn't possible via firmware as the silicon doesn't support faster speeds.

We are planning a new device that does higher speeds, but it isn't available yet (very hard to find the right silicon).
