  • Inquiry about PassMark USB Power Delivery Tester (PM125)

    Hello,
I would like to make an inquiry regarding the PM125.
When a device is connected to the PM125 and PD is successfully negotiated,
if the voltage is displayed but no current load is applied,
is the device set to disconnect automatically?

We are experiencing a situation where the connection is terminated after maintaining a no-load state for about 20 to 30 seconds following a successful connection between the device and the PM125.
We would like to inquire if this is an expected behavior or related to a specific setting.
    Thank you.

No. There is no auto-disconnect based on a timer in our device.
This is not expected behavior (of our device).

BUT, what is likely happening is the Device Under Test is either turning off it's voltage output or has removed the pull-up resistor on the CC line to trigger a disconnect, it probably does this because it thinks nothing is connected or whatever is connected doesn't need power anymore, so it doesn't want to waste it's own power. We have a power bank here that does this.
