USB PD Tester Pro not working as sink.

Just received 2 USB Power Delivery Tester Pros today and i am unable to get any of them to operate as a sink and show PD profiles menu. I have installed drivers and the test app. I have a USB source that is working. I checked with another tool and able to see the PD profile menu. When i connect to PD tester Pro it shows 5v and when i try to select the menu the screen blinks and goes back to the main screen.
I have opened the app and it shows the device and ID number but not internal temperature.

I assumed that the sink feature works independently of having to connect to a pc and use the app.

What is the USB source you are using?

Only profiles that exist can be selected and tested. Is it because it doesn't actually exist, or is it because the cable you are using doesn't allow for profile negotiation, or is the data in the profile invalid / corrupt, or is it a bug in our device that we aren't aware of, or is your profiles a non-standard vendor proprietary setup?

If both the test application and firmware are up to date and the PD setting is enabled but PD is still not detected, please try using a known off-the-shelf PD charger (e.g. an Apple charger) to see if it gets detected. If it does, we suspect the DUT may not be sending valid PD messages particularly the Source Capability message.

Is it possible to collect the message log for the PD negotiation, so we can see what was advertised and selected?

I will try updating the firmware and test application first and retry.
