IT Week Magazine Announces Top 50 Technology Innovators 2006 List includes both large and small vendors who are the top in their field Miami, Fl, December 18th, 2006 -- IT Week, The U.S.'s only all digital newsweekly for IT professionals, delivered electronically in digital format to over 100,000 qualified subscribers every Monday, is proud to announce the Top 50 Technology Innovators of 2006 winners. The list is compiled by the editors from feedback from readers and independent research, it recognizes vendors of products and services for IT Professionals who are the top in their field.
This week marks the second edition of IT Week's annual Top 50 Technology Innovators list. These awards are given out to companies whose products IT Week's editors feel demonstrate quality and excellence in their respective fields making them the best. Ken Durham, editor of IT Week magazine, stressed that it was very hard to select the 50 winners with so many great products out there, but "in the end it boiled down to the products which went above and beyond the call of duty sort of speak. We at IT Week are very happy for the opportunity to be able to recognize these products for their technology, value and excellence."
IT Week magazine acknowledges that there's not a single formula to determine who is the best and as such the winners span a wide range of products. For a complete list of winners see www.itweekmagazine.com/t50ti06.pdf
The winners will appear in Monday, December 18th 2006 issue of IT Week magazine, in the order in which they've appeared in the magazine, as opposed to by any ranking. "They're all winners to us", Terry Logan, Group Publisher, Possibility Media, which publishes IT Week, was quoted as saying. "We're very proud of these awards and of IT Week magazine for being able to put together such a great selection in its second year of publishing the list. It's very gratifying to see how the popularity of the magazine constantly grows and we can't wait for next year's list."
