  • Rambus / RDRAM testing

Would someone kindly tell me if MemTest86 can test Rambus / RDRAM please.

Is it compatible with XP SP3?

Also, how big a USB Flash drive is needed?

    Thank you in advance.

MemTest86 can run on any x86 BIOS-based system. So if your system runs Windows XP, it should be able to run MemTest86 (though it does not require an O/S to run).

To create a MemTest86 v7 image, a minimum of 256MB flash drive is required. For the MemTest86 v4 image, any flash drive should work (ie. >= 2MB)

To boot V7 you need UEFI style BIOS. On older machines with traditional BIOS, you can only use V4.

Thank you for the information Keith. I have been very impressed with the help I have received. Was wondering if RDRAM / Rambus could still be tested, been told I need to use v4 on my older system via email......by Keith, probably you.
