Can you upload a copy of the MemTest86.log under the EFI\BOOT\ directory of the USB drive.

No, logs can't be written to read only CDs.
You'll need to use the USB boot option to get the log.

            Similar situation here:

            Asus X99-A II Bios 1201
            i7-6900K
            64 GB DDR4 2133
            Memtest 7.1 Pro
            CD Version

Freeze at startup (Multi CPU Test...).

And it gets really strange: I did download the Memtest 7.1 Pro again and did create a USB stick.

With the USB stick Memtest doens't freeze at startup. I'm able to start the actual Test, but in Multi CPU mode the test freeze again after a few moments. The test runs fine in Single CPU mode.

            BIOS bug? Memtest bug?

It seems to be an issue with the UEFI BIOS, as your motherboard is listed in this thread:
              http://www.passmark.com/forum/memtes...election-modes

From our last contact with ASUS, they mentioned that they were having a look at the multiprocessor issues on their X99 boards but haven't received any update ever since.

For now, you may need to stick with running in single CPU mode until the issue is addressed by ASUS.
