Compiling memtest86

Hello,
I am trying to port mem86 for a wince arm platform. In the process, I am first trying the compile the official download on a linux OS. There are errors coming out of the Makefile. I am looking for documentation/hints on how to get mem86 to compile under Ubuntu 16.04.

There is a MemTest86 User Guide PDF file included in the image files which contains instructions on how to compile MemTest86 v4 from source.
