Memtest V7.3 Pro- Unutilised CPU Cores

    Dear Keith,

We have purchased the Software Version: Memtest V7.3 - Pro

The Asus Motherboard : H110 -MCS / DDR4 has 4 CPU cores but the Memetest V7.3 Pro utilises only 2 cores out of 4.

Can all the cores be activated, If yes please let me know the procedure for the same.

    With regards,

    GAGAN SAREEN

The Asus Motherboard ... has 4 CPU cores
Actually it doesn't. The number of cores depends on the CPU.

    What CPU is being used?

Intel Core i3-6098P is a dual core CPU.
(hyperthreading is not used in V7.3 of MemTest86, as there was no speed advantage, but there is a config parameter to turn it on if you want)

Set the 'ENABLEHT' parameter to 1 to enable hyperthreads.

              Reference: http://memtest86.com/technical.htm#config
ENABLEHT Specifies whether to enable testing on hyperthreads. By default, memory tests are not run on hyperthreads.

0 - Do not enable testing on hyperthreads
1 - Enable testing on hyperthreads
The configuration file is one of the features of the Pro Edition.
