    MEMTEST VERSION: MemTest86 V7.3

    Hello,

When we tried to install windows on this config we had a problem.
The setup crash at the launch (Windows logo appears but no spinning dots)

We decided to test the ram with memtest. We get this results:

Boths sticks (STICK 1 & 2): Memtest freeze at the start of the test.
STICK 1: Memtest get thousand of error after test #4
STICK 2 (On same DIMM slot): Memtest freeze at the start of the test.

    What do you think?

We buillt the same config for another friend & he doesn't have this problem.

Freezing issue might be this problem

    Try running single threaded.

On the stick with 1000s of errors it is likely bad.

Thanks for your answer David. We will test that asap!
But, I don't understand why memtest freeze with only the first stick!

By the way, the second stick has generated in 5 minutes more than 1 million of errors.

Or maybe something else is wrong.
Hard to comment without seeing the actual results.

So, we have updated the bios & run memtest. We get this results:

STICK 1 (AUTO MODE): Memtest get 110000 errors in test #4
STICK 1 (SINGLE CPU MODE): Memtest freeze at the start of the test.
STICK 2 (AUTO MODE): Memtest freeze at the start of the test.
STICK 2 (SINGLE CPU MODE): Memtest freeze at the start of the test.

Can you post the details or a screen shot of the errors in Test #4.

You could try underclocking the RAM in BIOS.
If you have a spare set of RAM, then test with the spare set.

The screen shots are from the old MemTest86+ (the plus version isn't our software). It is an old fork, which we don't support.
