  • Hammer Test 13

    Hello,

can someone tell me if the logic of this test has changed from v6 to v7.4? I experienced that this test will fail on my machine or give warnings in a v6.x but will never fail in v7.x no metter how ling I test even repeating the test after few months. So, except some changes that I can see and are performance oriented did the `hardness` of the test changed in a sense that Hammering in v7.x is lighter/weaker then the one in v6.x?

In other words, if the same system is passing MT86 v7.4 working for days (10+ passes), does that mean that all is perfect?

    Thanks

You can find the version history for MemTest86 here,
    https://www.memtest86.com/support/ver_history.htm

There are multiple ways to implement a hammer test from a coding point of view. There are various configuration setting in the configuration file that can change the way the test works.

These settings effect the test behaviour
