Memtest86 is painfully slow to start and change test modes when running under UEFI
I've observed it when running Memtest86 (7.5 Pro) from a USB flash stick under numerous laptops/PCs with UEFI.
It takes at least 3 minutes to start - after each message on the screen there's a considerable pause. During all this time the USB flash stick keeps blinking.
Also, when it finally loads, it takes at least 10 seconds to load each new memory test - naturally the USB flash stick is blinking when loading each new test.
Can you explain what's going on?
Can Memtest86 be sped up?
