Macbook pro Vega 2018 freezes test 0

Hi,

just tested both the free 7.5 and 8 beta on my macbook pro 2018 with vega 20, 32GB RAM and the computer freezes at test 0, 16% in every single time. Running it with round robin on the cores doesn’t hang nor does it seem to be anything wrong with the memory.
Are the hangs caused by faulty hardware or is it a bug in memtest86? (or in the mac..?)

Anyone else having these issues?

Likely to be another Mac UEFI BIOS bug.

Sounds similar to these other machines with known Multi-threading bugs.

We might be able to work around the bug, can you send us your log file. A log file (MemTest86.log) is automatically created and updated while MemTest86 v7/8 is running. This file is saved in the 'EFI/BOOT' directory in the USB drive's first partition.
