  • Memtest86 error meanings?

    Hi!
Im fairly good at computers but recently (since last night) ive been having some problems with games crashing and BsoD.
I've been looking around searching for answers and finally tried the MemTest86 to see if i got any errors there, and i did.
But i have no idé how to read these error codes and would really appriciate some help with this!

    My specs:
    MB: MSI Z170M MORTAR (MS-7972)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.00GHz
    RAM: x 8GB DDR4 XMP PC4-17000 (Corsair / CMK16GX4M2A2133C13)
LAN: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

    Thank you for your time!

    /Oscar

The data read from the RAM ("Actual value") doesn't match the data written to the RAM (the "Expected value"). Which is a serious problem for a RAM stick.

In each case there was a 1 bit difference in the actual from the expected. Which is typical of failing RAM.

    So the RAM is bad.
