  • Ran MeMTest86 with 2 different results

The first time I ran the program it froze on the screen with the 0:39 timer. Then I rebooted and it completed. My comp will restart once or twice only when I turn it on, then its fine till I turn it off again.

    Complete: http://imgur.com/MuVJMGh

    Thanks for any help

As you have 1000s of errors reported in the first screen shot and your system also doesn't initially boot into Windows it looks like you have faulty RAM (or maybe one of the pins / tracks on the motherboards memory address bus).

The differences in behaviour after 5min might be temperature related. So it doesn't work when cold. Maybe a bad solder joint and thermal expansion?

Also of interest is that in the first screen shot 8GB is RAM is detected. In the second screen shot 4GB is detected. I assume you didn't remove or add and RAM between the screen shots? So maybe 1 stick isn't always being detected. This would also account for differences in behaviour.

Did you try reseating the RAM to start with?
