memtest working for 1 hour on usb 3.0 port on notebook,wtf is the problem?

I put memtest86 on my old Apacer usb memory stick of 1GB,and tested my notebook with usb 3.0.
But the whole test/1 pass took above 1 hour.
Would it make it faster for a test if I would make it to work/boot from another usb stick like 3.0 with faster read speed?
I saw a guy Carrey Holzman working with this program and the whole test took 10 min to complete.

If you are using MemTest86 V5 or later, it's possible a faster USB may help. A log file (MemTest86.log) is automatically created and updated while MemTest86 is running and saved to the USB Drive.

Barring any USB drive issues, for the most part, the time required for a complete pass of MemTest86 will vary greatly depending on CPU speed, memory speed and memory size.
