Address range and number of cpus

Hi! I bought a LG notebook a few months ago and thought about testing the memory now. Everything is stable and running without problems. Here are the specs:

LG N450
CPU: Intel Core i5 3210M 2.5 GHZ
RAM: SK Hynix HMT351S6CFR8C-PB - 4 GB DDR3-1600
VIDEO: Intel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon HD 7650M 1GB

I left memtest86 v4.3.2 overnight for about 10 hours and no errors were found. But two things seen strange. In the "Testing" field the memory ranges are not contiguous and exceed by much the 4 gb. This is the valors I get:

0K - 32M
1024K - 2048M
2048M - 2480M
4096M - 5622M

Summing the amounts you get 4037 MB, very close to 4 gb.

Also, the field CPUs_Found = 5 and CPUs_Started = 2. The core i5 3210M has 2 cores and 4 threads, not 5. Both cpus are used during the test with no problems.

The memory range not being continuous is normal. See this post for an example of how fragmented it can get.

Displaying 5 CPUs doesn't seem right however.

Update for other people reading this.

The problem was solved via E-mail. There was duplicate entries in the internal structure (from BIOS) that defines the available CPUs and Cores. Duplicates are now being checked for, and the problem will be fixed in V4.3.4
