For some reason my desktop does not want to boot memtest up. The disc works fine on my laptop. I turned off the secure boot option on my motherboard and made sure that it would boot from non eufi sources. Anyone know what the issue is?

What version of MemTest86 are you using?
What is the behaviour when it doesn't boot?
Did you try from USB?
Is the Disc / USB drive visible as an option in the UEFI BIOS? -
I'm using 4.3.3. It appears that the disc is trying to be read but that it just never boots, and it just goes back to the normal os boot, or when I try to boot it from the uefi it boots me back to the uefi screen.
I have not tried it from the usb yet, and yes the motherboard supports booting from the usb drive.
I saw that there's a beta version that is more friendly to uefi's. Should I try that?Comment

If using V4.x, then check to see if your BIOS has something like a "Legacy (BIOS) Mode" or the "UEFI Compatibility Support Module (CSM)" or similarly worded option.
But yes, try V5 and try from USB. It was re-written for UEFI.Comment
