My pc crashes before reaching the main screen

I downloaded the latest version and ran it off of a usb as a boot drive. It boots and says "Retrieving hardware info" etc up until "getting memory controller details and then the screen goes black the usb lights on my peripherals turn off and then it boots into window (my default main boot). I tested to see if my usb was faulty but it ran on my laptop. What can i do about this or What is this a sign of?(Ive been having crashes on my pc and suspect either my mobo or my ram is the culprit)

my specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X

GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X 4G, 4GB

RAM: CRUCIAL DIMM 8GB, DDR4-2133

PSU: SEASONIC G-550W

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Prime A320M-K

Yes, could be hardware failure which caused the reboot. Hard to pin point the cause with just the information above.
If you have two sticks of RAM, try using one at a time.
