  • Corsais LPX 3200 RAM fails test at 3200, But Passes at 2133?

Recently started getting some BSODs and suspect something might have shorted in my computer, I accidentally plugged a 5V RGB Controller into a 12V fan header.. Issues started after that.

The ram has been in the system since April 2017, And haven't had any issues until recently. I'm thinking maybe i shorted something and damaged the RAM? or motherboard?

Here's the three tests i've done.

Test #2. Ram at 3200 With XMP Enabled.
I've used this setting before, Not sure why it's failing now.

Even if you blew up the RGB controller, and then shorted out the 12V line of the PSU, it is hard to imagine how this would cause just a few RAM errors. Plus if the errors go away if you run the RAM slightly slower it is even less likely that it is a power supply issue.
        So might just be coincidence.

Just looks like RAM errors. See,

I've posted the three tests i have taken.

The errors don't appear to happen when i run the ram at 2133mhz

Should i replace the Power Supply? Or or motherboard?

Sometimes when i power on the PC/Restart. i freeze at bios/or just doesn't load at all. All motherboard lights are on, fans are spinning but i'm greeted with 2 black screens.

I thought maybe the motherboard got damaged, But i'm not sure.
