  • Need Help With Memtest86 Error Results

Hello everyone, I just used the MemTest86 on my Desktop. PC Specs & Problem Details below.

    PC Specs:
    AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.40 GHz
    Asus EX-A320M-GAMING Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (8GBX2) DDR4 2400MHz Red
    Zotac 1050ti Mini
    Antec VP500PC
120 GB SSD, 1 Tb HDD, 500 GB HDD.
    OS: Windows 10 Professional x64
Everything is Under Warranty and only 8-9 months old, except One DDR4 8GB Ram Module is around 2 years old.

From last 2 weeks im getting BSOD with error codes like: Memory Management Error, SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, Kernel Security Check Failure etc. Apart from BSOD My game is crashing frequently around 3-6 times with data corruption. Every time i trying to Verify and update the game to fix the corrupted data, its getting more corrupted. Sometimes my browser is crashing with " aww snap " error, sometimes applications are crashing and not responding anymore. So at first I Checked my SSD and HDD s with chkdsk. Everything was fine with storage spaces. I also checked file system with sfc command, nothing was wrong.

Then i tried Windows Memory Diagnostics tool to check RAM condition. It was clearly mentioned that there are some problems with memory.

After that I did some Manual RAM slotting and slotting to check that is there any problem with my Motherboard RAM slots.
    Here are the result.

I booted the pc with One RAM Module each time, then keep switching their Location.

    RAM 1 ( OLD RAM ) Phase 1 Phase 2

Slot 1: no boot black screen, boot fine
Slot 2: no boot black screen, boot fine
Slot 3: boot fine, boot fine
Slot 4: boot fine, boot fine

    Ram 2 ( New RAM ) Phase 1 Phase 2

Slot 1: boot fine, boot fine
Slot 2: no boot black screen, boot fine
Slot 3: boot fine, boot fine
Slot 4: boot fine, boot fine

As you can see its a really weird result. I got really confuse. Right now im using New ram on 1st Slot and the old one one 3rd slot.

Last night i used Memtest86 here are the result.

        Is up to you.
If you bought them as a set, then it would be normal to return them as a set.

No i bought them separately, One RAM is 2 years old another one is 8 months old. Although both of them are same Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (8GBX2) DDR4 2400MHz

If they need to be returned separately, then you should test them separately. But sometimes problems only occur in dual channel mode.
