  • Test 7 failure - testing due to multiple types of BSOD

Hi, I am hoping to get a little direction on some Memtest86 results.
I have been having random crashes over the last 6 months or so, with these stop codes:
    • CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED
    • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    • KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
    • PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    • KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    • SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    • MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    • FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE
    • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    • BAD_POOL_HEADER
    • DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
    • UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION
Most of those more than once.

While seeking help on another forum I was directed to run Memtest86 and the results show a failure only on test 7.
I ran the test with all ram installed, and it took quite a while so I didn't test each of the 4 sticks separately.
Does 3/4 tests passed mean one of the 4 sticks didn't pass? Or not necessarily?

I don't know if the memory is the cause of any of the crashing, but I am hoping it's something that simple.

After looking at the attached results, can anyone advise me on the potential problem, or what steps I should take next?

I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

    GPU: ASUS GTX 1060 OC

Memtest86 version: Free version (downloaded yesterday)

3/4 Tests Passed, means 3 out of the 4 test runs passed.
So the error isn't very reproducible.
But one bad byte is enough to cause all kinds of random crashes, if you are unlucky.
Maybe run with 8GB for a while and see how stable the machine is. The switch to the other 8GB.

      Okay, thank you for that.
I will do what you said.
FYI, I started testing them separately, is that of any value ?
