MEMTEST86 not starting from Boot flash Drive

Hi

Trying to use memtest86

I have created a boot flash drive as required and set BIOS to boot from F: drive.

When I re-boot, nothing happens just a blank black screen

What am I doing wrong??

I have two folders on the flash drive – EFI and HELP

HELP folder has the pdf memtest guide

EFI has BOOT folder which has six files and BENCHMARK folder which is empty.

I can’t believe that it is this difficult to get Memtest86 started. Must be something wrong.

How old is the machine?
V8.x of MemTest86 only supports UEFI BIOS.

If it is an old machine then you might need to go back to V4.
