Hey everyone (or just David),
I'm on a computer I built myself about a year ago. About 5 or 6 months ago, the computer restarted randomly while I was sleeping with no significant hardware, software or firmware changes. Looking in event viewer, it recovered from a bugfix, which I guess was a bluescreen. It happened about five hours later on that day, and so I ran windows memory diagnostic. It detected an error, so I downloaded and installed memtest86 -- and ran it for 2x4 passes (since free version). It turned up no errors, then I ran the windows memory diagnostic again and it didn't turn up errors again. It didn't happen for months afterwards, so I hoped to chalk it up to some anomaly memory reference but about a month ago, it happened again, then happened once a week and now it's a pretty regular occurence.
I ran memtest yesterday and it turned up 30 errors within the first 3 tests. It ended the 4th pass with about 120 errors (I forgot to save results, but I uploaded the portion from memtest86.log: https://1drv.ms/t/s!AvGbBVfnZ4wQgQCD...9EXCe?e=0WnXTn ). I updated my BIOS and reverted all settings to default, which led to this test: Summary
