  • Can't install Memtest to usb

I want to make a usb memtest drive. I downloaded the Windows file, extracted it to a folder in Downloads. I ran the .exe and selected my usb drive. First i tried write to and it did not work. So next i tried create and it spent a long time doing something but when it stopped there was nothing on the flash drive. I then deleted everything on my computer related to memtest and tried again.

So where is this stuff going? Why is it not on my usb drive?

When i try to choose boot from usb the options i get are LS120, HD, CDRom, ZIP, USB-FDD, USB Zip, USB-CDRom, USB HDD. None of which boots memtest.

I used to have a disk i made but it is really old and right now i do not have any disks so usb is my only option.

You can find instructions to make a bootable USB drive with MemTest86 here,
    http://www.memtest86.com/technical.htm#win

Was there any error message from the imageusb.exe tool when you tried to write the USB drive?
Did you pick the correct drive letter for the USB drive?

If you have trouble making your own drive, we also sell them on pre-made USB drives.
