So, my computer was crashing for a while. Critical error, blue screen, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. I updated all my drivers and then my BIOS. Kept happening.
Yesterday in one of those crashs he wouldn't reboot. The EZDEBUG light on the motherboard was on for processor and RAM. I was using 2 cards on sockets 2 and 4, as recommended by MSI. Tested each of the cards on each socket (single) and one of them only works on sockets 1 and 3 now. Cleaned every contact, same. I'm currently running both cards on 1 and 3 (in order to keep dual-channeling), ran some stress tests for a while and everything seems fine, the PC is not crashing anymore.
BUT, now motherboard beeps on startup. One short beep which could mean memory refresh timer error. So now I ran a PassMark86 test and got one error, but I need help understanding the log. What do you think? Is the faulty card the problem? Why is it working on half the sockets while the other one works on all of them? Should I expect future trouble? Contact Kingston to replace the card?
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help.
