LRDIMM memory not detected as ECC memory

Hi,
Maybe this by design, but when I try to test LRDIMM memory, Memtest shows that ECC is disabled. If I query info for each module it has ECC: Yes
With normal RDIMM, ECC is enaled.
Is it by the nature of LRDIMMs ?
