Hi,
I am running memtest86 on my Clevo Dekstop Replacement Laptop. The tests start at a CPU temperature of about 61C and during some of the 14 tests, the CPU temperature readings go up to 74-92C, but without the cooling fans turning faster. Usually, when the CPU goes hot under Windows operation, the fans go crazy fast which I can hear from the noise. During some other tests later in the testing procedure (test 13 for example), the temperature readings go again down to 61. I find the max temperatures during memtest86 very hot considering idle temps under windows are around 28-41C and only stress tests such as 3DMARK Timespy causes an increase to 80-92C.
Is there the possibility the CPU temperature readings from memtest86 are incorrect?
Cheers!
