    memtest bit fade error

Hi. Getting consistent bit fade errors on test 10.

I was wondering what the bit fade errors mean. Is this fault memory or something else? Like motherboard.

Let me know if you need more info.

    Thanks

You can find details about each of the tests here,
    http://www.memtest86.com/technical.htm

Most likely is a bad RAM. Try testing one stick at a time of replacing the RAM.

Did each stick a number of times. Found one of the sticks had test 7 errors. The other didn't fail on either slot.

I'm guessing I found my problem.

      Ram will be on order.

Why does one ram module fail? Could this be my fault.

It is unlikely that it is your fault. While it could be static or overheating, it was probably marginal from the day it was made.
