  • Changing errors between test runs

    Hi,

Wanted to double check before I RMA my ram sticks: Is it still likely a RAM error if different tests fail between different rams? Or could it be BIOS error? I ran total of 5 times, first with both sticks and got errors, then just the test I got errors in with each stick individually and then both together, finally a full run again with both sticks. Summary of results:
    • Run1 (full run, bot sticks): Test 6 fail, total errors 1200. Summary file: 1_Full_Both_...
    • Run2-4 (only Test 6, both sticks separately then again both together). Summary file: 2_Test6_1_... (summary from one run)
    • Run 5 (full run, both sticks): Test 7 fail, total errors 6. Summary file: 5_Full_Both_...
For the two failed runs, "bits in error mask" is the same (0000000001000000). I've following set-up:

B550I AORUS PRO AX (BIOS version F11n)
    2x G Skill / F4-3600C16-16GVKC
    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core
    RTX 3070

As background, I'm getting BSOD a few times per day with changing error codes. Tried every other way to fix the errors to no avail. Also tried running windows memtest, which didn't show any issues.

I'd upload the files, but for some reason not allowed to do so, maybe due to being new user. Here's a Gdrive link:

    Thanks!

There were no attached files and no links to files in your post.

But very likely the RAM is bad. See

Woops, here's the link if it's still relevant:

Looked at the test reports. Still looks like bad RAM.
But it is maybe marginal and only fails in dual channel mode.
