Please help with "high frequency" error

Hi,
i tested 24GB RAM.

System:
Intel DX58SO2
Intel i7990x
Kingston KHX1600C9D3K6/24GX (6 modules each 4GB)

Memtest86 finds just ONE error.
I get following error message:

Test 10 Addr: 47DF272C8 Expected: FFFFFFFF Actual: FFFFFFEF CPU 0
[Note] RAM may be vulnerable zo high frequency row hammer bit flips.

thank you for your answer.

we have two computers with same hardware.
one passes the test without errors, the other one, reports this ONE error.

this board is a bit older than the other one and did not automaticly detect the cpu parameters.
especially "max non turbo frequency" and the parameters depending on this.
so i setup these parameters manually from the knowledge of the other computer.

could it be, that the problem of this ONE RAM error could come from the cpu settings?
if so, what could i change in the settings?

Just an idea.

With a single bit in error in a single byte. It is unlikely to be a CPU issue.

High frequency row hammer bit flips are a common design problem. Even 'good' ram can have this issue. See the post above for details.

thank you for your answer.

Last night I have reset the BIOS of the older DX58SO2 to the BIOS-Default settings.

The values for the processor were automaticly selected:

Maximum Non-Turbo Multiplier: 23

6-Core Ratio Limit: 25
6-Core Ratio Limit: 25
6-Core Ratio Limit: 24
6-Core Ratio Limit: 24
6-Core Ratio Limit: 24
6-Core Ratio Limit: 25

I ran the Memtest86 Test with the result NO errors.




Just for information:
The same values in the newer DX58SO2 are:

Maximum Non-Turbo Multiplier: 26

6-Core Ratio Limit: 27
6-Core Ratio Limit: 27
6-Core Ratio Limit: 27
6-Core Ratio Limit: 27
6-Core Ratio Limit: 27
6-Core Ratio Limit: 28

These were the values i setup manually to the older DX58SO2, which let Memtest86 Test report ONE error.

Don't know why there is a difference between these two boards.

However, if I leave the CPU values like automaticly selected from the BIOS of each computer,
I do not get any error on both computers.
