  • memtest86 test 6 reboots the computer

    Hi,
I have a problem with my computer and the memtest restarts my computer.

First - sorry for my english - isn't my mother tongue

The new computer restarts within a very short time when a game is running. A blue screen is not displayed.
But I have no problems with "normal" usage.

All components are new and have warranty, but from different online-shops.
    I have the following hardware:
    • PSU: Corsair RM 750x
    • Mainboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Carbon WIFI
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
    • GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti OC
    • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32 GB DDR4-3600 Kit (2 x 16 GB, CMW32GX4M2Z3600C1)
    • SSD 1 (OS): WD BLACK SN750, 500 GB SSD
    • SSD 2 (data): CRUCIAL CT2000P1SSD8, 2 TB SSD
BIOS and drivers are up to date.
FurMark, 3DMark, prime95 and Windows memory diagnostic tool worked without problems.
But with memtest86 v8. 4 there are errors with "Test 6 [Block move, 64-byte blocks]" (see screenshot).
As soon as "Test 6" starts, the computer restarts. The "Test 6" only leads to a restart if when the “CPU Selection” is set to "Parallel (All CPUs)". Test 6" works with the other 3 options.
When selecting Single CPU, I ran all CPUs (0-14) individually without error. I tested every module in each slot with memtest86. Always the same result, the computer does a reboot when "Test 6" starts.
But I have no idea which component is the problem - the cpu, the board. the memory ....

    Thx for help

Looks like the RAM is bad. See,
    https://www.memtest86.com/troubleshooting.htm

Bad RAM can cause all kinds of random behavior.
