Producing an unrecoverable ECC error ?

    We're running memtest 8.2.
Is it possible to produce an unrecoverable ECC error ?
(Our customer requires a demonstration, that the machine will stall/lock when this kind of error occurs.)

    Memtest86 doesn't have this option.
On a few platforms it can inject a single bit error (i.e. a recoverable error). But there is no option to inject a multi-bit error.

We are working on a hardware solution for testing ECC RAM, but it won't be available for a couple more months.
