    Hello all,

This is my first post here and I was wondering if you could help me out.

I´ve just bought a Yoga 7i laptop from Lenovo and I´ve decided to run memtest86 to check the memory because it´s soldered to the motherboard.

I´ve ran a 10-pass test and it passed without any issues, but I had to get a replacement due screen issues.

The replacement arrived an I´ve noticed that sometimes things were taking more time than usual to open and Lenovo app froze for a couple seconds when I was trying to adjust it.

I thought it was odd and decided to run memtest86 again and sure enough an error showed up. Actually two errors on "Test 7 - Moving Inversions".

So, I´ve stopeed the test and restarted all over again running the exact same 10-pass test and this time no errors were found.

    Which test should I believe?

Is there any aditional testing I can run to make sure my system is good?

Should I update the Bios or something?

I´m still in the return window and I don´t want to get a third replacement unless I have to but at the same time I don´t want a defect ram soldered to the motherboard.

I´ve attached both reports to this post.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Do I have a defect ram or not? What would you do if you were me?

Likely the RAM is bad, intermittent errors are still valid.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I’ve just discovered that the flash drive I was running the memtest86 was defective. But the program loaded without issues.

So, I’ve replaced for a new flash drive and 10 hours in and zero errors.

Could be the flash drive the culprit?

      Thank you.

Intermittently bad RAM is more likley
