Memtest86 test duration standard

Hi All,

Do we have specific criteria for the test duration of memtest86?The general test standard is 12 hours, but I encountered a problem. After the test lasted more than 12 hours, Memtest86 ran an error. According to your professional level, can you give a suggested test duration standard?

It depends on your reason for testing.
If this is a home gaming machine, then we suggest 4 passes. How long that takes depends on your CPU speed and the amount of RAM.

If this was medical equipment, a flight traffic control system, or the Mars rover, then longer is probably better.

No.

Run time also depends on the memory speed, if it is dual channel or not, if the BIOS supports multi-threading, the settings in the MemTest86 configuration file and the actual performance of the CPU (as apposed to the clock speed).
