  • memtest86 v6b3 does it test only XMP settings?

Does memtest86 v6Beta3 only uses the timing found in the XMP?

Because I am trying to OC my memory modules and I see it only detects the timing from the XMP...

    1) Is it actually running the memory test based on XMP?
    2) If it is only running the test based on XMP can there be a way to force memtest86 to test using my setting that I made in the BIOS?

MemTest86 reports what the capabilities of the RAM are (including XMP with both DDR3 and DDR4). So the clock speeds and timings displayed should not change, even when you over or under clock, as the specs of the RAM haven't changed.

It never changes or overrides the BIOS settings, so the RAM runs at whatever speed you set it to run at in BIOS.

What should change in MemTest86 is the benchmark numbers and benchmark graphs (displayed in MB/Sec).
