  • Memtest results question

    Hello there,

I have been having bsod on and off for the past few weeks and I remembered reading about this test, so I decided to give it a try but as a first-time user I'm not exactly sure what the results mean. So, any help is appreciated.
I tested two sticks which came from the same package, no mix and matching here. When I ran both sticks, I received error reports, tested both individually with no errors.
I assume since the RAM was being tested that there might be something wrong with the RAM since I received errors but before I go to the store and use the warranty I have, I would like to make sure/ get input from someone who understands the results of memtest. The first attachment should be the fail...

    Attached are the test.

    Thanks in advance!

Very likely the RAM is bad. See this page to start with
    https://www.memtest86.com/troubleshooting.htm

It isn't that uncommon to see different results when testing 1 stick vs 2 sticks.
With two sticks the memory controller switches into dual channel mode. Which can provoke (or sometimes hide) errors.

Thank you for your input! I will get new sticks and try that out.
