  • Memtest V6.0.0 G.Skill F3-2400C10D-16GTX

    I am experiencing errors in Memtest86 v6.0.0 using G.Skill F3-2400C10D-16GTX.

I have tried multiple kits over multiple different motherboards. When I use the MemTest86 V4.3.7, that is bundled with it, I do not get any errors.

    This is the current error

Test 13 is the row hammer test.
This test doesn't exist in V4 of MemTest86. So that's why there are no errors in V4.

Row hammer errors are real errors, but it can often be the case that they do not manifest themselves in real life (or only manifest themselves occasionally). It is not predictable.

See this page for more details,

      Thanks for the response David.

I just found it quite odd that multiple kits did this across a few different motherboards. We had no issues in real work usage though so I am happy with it as is.

It is a flaw in the design of DDR3 RAM. So multiple vendors & models are effected.

DDR4 RAM and ECC RAM largely resolved the problem. Brand new DDR3 kits might also be better as awareness of the problem grows.
