  • Memtest "nasty" shut down?

When shutting down the computer after performing a Memtest (latest version) some SMART Values of the HDD/SSD might increase and indicate an "unexpected power loss".
I tested this on 3 different systems. With 3 different SSD/HDDS The following values increased after shutting down the system via Memtest

On a Samsung SSD the Raw Value "EB - POR Recovery Count" did increase after shutting down the System (using the Option within Memtest).
On a Crucial SSD the Raw Value of "AE - Unexpected Power Loss" increased.
and on a Toshiba HDD the Raw Value "C0 - Power-off Retract count" increased.

I just wanted to report that in case that isn't "normal".

It isn't something we have looked at.
But it is up to the BIOS to shut down the machine cleanly. So you might find the behaviour is different with different BIOSs.
