  • Testing more than 4GB in v6.1.0

While running Memtest86 v6.1.0 I am able to test 4GB out of the 6GB in my laptop. Memtest86 sees all 6GB of RAM, and allows me to set an address range of 0GB to 4GB. However, anything over 4096MB as part of the address range causes the test bar to not reach 100% and lock up. Is there a setting that I am missing either in Memtest86 or BIOS that needs to be configured to have it run in 64bit? I am running Memtest86 using UEFI with a bootable USB. I can not attach the files for the tests I ran, so I will paste the results below.

Thanks for the details. We have received your e-mailed as well, and requested additional information.

The report indicates that you are running in 64-bit, so I suspect it may be a UEFI BIOS firmware issue with allocating memory above 4GB. So I would first check for a BIOS update.
