Hi, am testing second-hand 16Gb ddr4 2133Mhz server memory and two out of several runs of memtest86+ using this stick have failed
ie I found the server rebooting with the usual OS instead of memtest86+ running.
Previously, the PC failed to boot with another of exactly the same 16Gb sticks, so this has been set aside.
So could one say that the memory is intermittently failing or is it equally likely it could be eg a motherboard issue
(a Chinese X99 clone)
Previously both these 16Gb sticks were installed; are 8 DDR4 slots in total
Thanks
Michael
