  • DDR5 ECC correctable error detected

    Hello,
Tried MemTest ECC error injection feature on Intel Comet lake platform(Chipset Intel R680E + CPU Intel Core i9-12900E), just only see always ECC inject, there is not ECC correctable error detected.
Could you help how to make this ECC inject function work normally. Thanks~

We think ECC error detection should already be working on that platform.

It might be that injection isn't really happening, we have never tested with this CPU model.

Can you provide the debug log?

        Thanks for the logs.

It appears the ECC injection capability is locked in the BIOS. So even though an attempt at injecting ECC errors was made, no errors were successfully injected.

This is described in a bit more detail here:

Could ask Intel if they ever tested it.
