Hello,
it looks like I have a defective memory stick. In dual channel mode, the memtest stops at 7th test due to too many errors.

I tested both sticks, of which one seems to work fine, and the other returns 1 error/pass.

Is it usual that in dual channel mode there is a flood of errors if there's one faulty memory stick?

Or could there be something else broken too?

My system is 4 years old, no new components.

We have seen many people report problems in dual channel mode that don't occur in single channel.

Different timings, different electrical load, different EMI, different slots, slightly different cooling / temperatures, different access patterns.
These things combine to tip some marginal RAM over the edge (Barely working ==> Not really well at all)

Hello. I'm trying to do a MemTest on my PC.
Everytime I do it I get 10000+ Errors and it abort the test.
I did a test on every single Test (from 1 to 13) and everytime I get 10000+ Errors in CPU:0 and CPU:2
It even says CPU Founded: 4 - CPU Started: 2 - CPU Active: 2
So, what it can be?
The errors seems always the same in every single Test with "Expected ????????" and "Actual ????????" which ? are a binary code and then CPU:0 - CPU:2

1 error is bad
10,000 is very bad.

2 active CPUs is normal for a dual core CPU (hyperthreading is ignored).
