    Supermicro M12SWA-TF Threadripper Pro 3955 8x DDR4-3200 Memtest86 showing 12.5 GB/s

    Hi,

I have a Supermicro M12SWA-TF motherboard with a Threadripper Pro 3955 installed and all 8 memory slots filled with DDR4-3200.

    When I run Memtest86 everything passes fine it's just showing 12.5 GB/s where I would expect 100 GB/s or am I wrong?

    Is this ECC RAM?

Getting 100GB/s for main RAM bandwidth seems optimistic.
20 to 40GB/sec would be a good score for a new CPU (in 2023), as measured in MemTest86.
The Threadripper Pro 3955 isn't so new anymore. Might also be suffering NUMA effects. And ECC is slower.
