  • Displayed timings

I have my RAM set in XMP profile with following settings: 1866 MHz / 9-11-9-28. MemTest shows it as 932 / 9-43-43-113.

When XMP is disabled and RAM is running in default settings (1333 MHz / 9-11-9-28 - yep, latency is the same like in XMP), MemTest shows it as 665 / 41-41-41-97.

I know that frequency is correct cause I need to double it but what about timings? Why there are so big differences?

What type of RAM and CPU is this?
Superficially 9-11-9-28 seems too low and 9-43-43-113 too high.

Can you post a zipped up debug log.

Thank you for the answer. This is a DDR3 RAM and CPU is i5-5675C running on the MSI Z97-G43 motherboard.

I made a mistake in the first post, saying that timings on default are the same like in XMP. At default there are 9-9-9-24.

      Summing up:
      XMP: 1866MHz & 9-11-9-28 is read by MemTest as 932 / 9-43-43-113
      Default: 1333MHz & 9-9-9-24 is read by MemTest as 665 / 41-41-41-97

I can't post debug log. I have no access to the bootable USB I used for the test from Windows. It is not detected by the OS (I have Win 7).

There will be two partitions on the USB drive, you should be able to read one from WIn7.

Here's what I see. There's an icon that pendrive is plugged in but I don't have any access to it.

Go to 'Disk Management' and check if partitions exists on the USB.
If drive letter has not been assigned, you will need to manually do this by right clicking the partition > 'Change drive letter and paths...'.
