I am trying to use Memtest86 v6.2.0 free to help me identify the cause of a very random long interval BSOD on my personal hobby build PC, so thanks for that and I will be looking to buy a license if it proves to be appropriate for my future personal needs to support development.
In the process of testing Memtest86 reported G.Skill F3-2400C11Q-32GXM as ...
Memtest86 detected a frequency of 1142 MHz rather than 1200 MHz expected for DDR2400 and also PC-18200 instead of the PC-19200 rating on the GSkill packaging and advertising. Also the GSkill XMP timings are 11,13,13,31 and Memtest reported 10,12,12,29.
So I am wondering why this disparity exists and what it means about my RAM.
This is not the XMP info so is the Memtest86 report accurate or is the report in error?
Can someone please explain what Memtest86 is reporting?
Thanks, would appreciate help, I am a bit of a noob with the whole memory testing thing.
