Memtest86 - next pass much longer than previous. Is this normal? 16gb ram

Hello. So i bought last days 16gb ram 2x8gb DDR3 1600mhz. I have a question about time of each loop.
1 loop ( pass ) is 13 tests.




The first pass came after 1 hour the 2nd pass came after 3 hours. And next ( 3 ) pass will be much longer than second. Is this normal? Thx

My cpu is 4790k, 16gb DDR 3 ( 2x8gb ) 1600mhz Hyperx 1.5v

Yes, the first pass runs quicker than the subsequent passes to catch the most obvious errors in a shorter time. Internally, it runs through the tests in fewer iterations so the coverage isn't as thorough but any obvious problems with the RAM are revealed much quicker.
