Is testing time for each pass different?

I was testing 8 gb single stick ram with parallel mode on t5500 workstation (e5620 single processor).

First pass took 35 minutes. Second pass took almost 1.5 hour.

Is it normal?

Yes, the first pass runs through all tests with a reduced number of iterations in order to catch the most obvious errors as quickly as possible. All subsequent passes run the full number of iterations which increases the test time for all tests.
