I used the imageUSB tool, which went smoothly, but when I try to boot with it, it goes straight to a command line interface (grub?). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Can't boot from USB

ImageUSB just copies disk images.
The boot behavior depends on what software you copied to the USB drive.
(e.g. if you copied the MemTest86 disk image to the USB drive, then it would be expected that MemTest86 boots, if you select the USB drive as the boot device. Grub isn't part of the Memtest86 disk image). -
I used the included image, memtest86-usb.img so it should be booting to that. I've cleared all partitions on the drive and reformat everything twice but it still boots to grub when using the USB. Even if I'd somehow accidentally installed grub on my PC somewhere, the usb should still override it, no?Comment

MemTest86 from our site doesn't include Grub. So if it really is booting to Grub, it can't be from the MemTest86 drive.
