  • Memtest reboots after detecting 50+ errors

Began to have some issues in Windows with memory management and IRQ bsod so decided to run memtest. Within the first 10 minutes it found 50+ errors and suddenly rebooted. Restarted the test to confirm but now it has run over 24 hours in memtest without any errors. So I am a bit confused on what to make of it. This is a new skylake system which had been running 4 months without any issue. The memory management bsod came with stock settings on a completely newly installed Windows 8.1.

So not sure what the next step is. If the RAM is faulty it will be hard to get them RMA when it is that random.

Is MemTest86 running in multi-threaded mode? If not try that.
(we are working on making that the default option for the next release)

I have memtest over the night with both single cpu and multi core. Increased the number of passes for the multi core in order for it to run all night.

Today I have successful run a 10 hours AIDA stability test in windows stressing both CPU, RAM and GPU.

Its so much easier to solve hardware problems when thinks just fails
